Carolyn Kawasaki (born May 25, 1962 in Chicago as Carolyn Jo Higar), better known in Japan as , is an American gaijin tarento, i.e. a foreign celebrity active in Japan. Kawasaki was active as a model in the 1980s working in the United States, Europe, and Japan. In 1990, she married , a Japanese celebrity. Her claim to fame on Japanese television comes from her playing off the stereotypical American woman from the Japanese point of view as loud, domineering, and materialistic.
